這是當時韓國根據真實的案件改編的電影，即大邱青蛙少年失蹤案。 1991年5名小學生去抓青蛙時失蹤，2002年9月才發(fā)現他們的遺體的事件。1991年3月26日，因為地方議會的議員選舉30年來第一次舉行，全市放假一天 ，最后一個目擊證人說在臥龍山附近見過孩子們，但到處都找不到他們。2002年失蹤少年的遺骨卻在臥龍山被發(fā)現，死亡原因確定是他殺，但目前為止并未抓到犯人。韓國殺人案的訴訟時效為15年，在2006年3月25日就到期，即使抓到犯人也無法懲處。 此片上映之時，還是不知道孩子具體被殺還是失蹤的情況。因此很多地方是根據猜測想象出來的。2011年，新片《孩子們》上映，從另一個角度詮釋了本案，劇情上更為有力，值得推薦。
